I am a Nottingham based Chartered Surveyor and Associate Director of Innes England – a firm of commercial property consultants based in the East Midlands.
My role is within the professional department mainly providing valuation services to the Commercial lenders and more recently as an Energy Assessor producing Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s).
I am a Wiltshire man by birth, but came to Nottingham in 1980 to study for a degree in Urban Estate Surveying at Trent Polytechnic (now Nottingham Trent University). I liked the city so much that I stayed and have been here ever since. My professional career started at Harlow Shelton (who are no more) and then Frank Innes Commercial who subsequently became Innes England. My knowledge and experience of the local market is therefore long standing!
I am Vice Chair of Governors at Edwalton Primary School, a school that has long and proud tradition of environmental awareness (it has its own farm and wood) the children reflect these values in their caring attitudes towards nature, animals and others. I am extremely proud to be associated with this very special school.
In my spare time I am a keen shooter (target not rough) and try to maintain my average as high as I can! I am also described as a ‘geek’ by my family as I have a love of all things ‘techie’. This includes computing, cameras and personal organisers (I have a selection ranging from psions through to ipods).
I also have my own Twitter – which you can follow here.
